NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING OF THE MUNICIPAL SERVICES COMMISSION RESCHEDULED FROM 1-7-2020 TO 1-16-2020 A special meeting of the Municipal Services Commission will be held Thursday, January 16, 2020 at 4:00 P.M. at the Commission’s office at 216 Chestnut Street, City of New Castle. The meeting will be to discuss converting aerial electric to underground on Delaware Street from Fourth Street to the Wharf and coordinating other utilities (Verizon/Comcast) conversion.

Power Savers Alert: Due to expected high temperatures and high energy demand, we are asking municipal electric customers to VOLUNTARILY reduce electric use today, Wednesday, September 11th. Power Saver Hours are from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. Customers are encouraged to lower their electric use during these hours to save money both now and later. The intersection of 6th and Delaware Street will be closed beginning Friday 6-21-19 evening approximately 6:00pm and is expected to be opened by Monday 6-24-19 morning approximately 5:00am Detours will be in effect throughout the weekend.
