Power Savers Alert!! Due to high temperatures and increasing energy demand, we are asking municipal electric customers to VOLUNTARILY reduce electric use today, Wednesday, August 28th. Power Saver Hours are from 3pm to 7pm. Customers are encouraged to lower their electric use during these hours to save money both now and later. Participation will lower electric use throughout the community and in return lower customers’ monthly electric costs and reduce utility energy costs over time. NEWS RELEASE   WATER METER REPLACEMENT   The Municipal Services Commission (MSC) is coming to the end of its electric and water meter replacement project. The batteries in the existing water meter communication modules have been failing. The meters still read accurately but it requires a manual read. Many customers have been providing the manual read each month but on other meters, staff has to visit the meter each month to get billing reads or estimate the read.
