Due to high temperatures expected through Sunday, 7/5, we encourage municipal electric customers to VOLUNTARILY reduce electric use today, Friday, July 3^rd through Sunday, July 5^th, 2026.  Power Saver Hours each day are from 3 to 7pm.  Customers can lower their electric use during these hours to save money both now and later.  Participation lowers electric use throughout the community, in return lowering customers’ monthly electric costs and utility energy costs over time.  The more people that participate, the bigger the impact.

Customers can help by taking simple steps such as:

• Save energy by turning off unused lights, fans, TVs and other electronics when they’re not needed.
• Replace dirty air filters regularly to improve airflow, increase efficiency, and help your HVAC system run more effectively.
• Fire up the grill! Cooking outdoors helps keep heat out of your home, reducing the workload on your air conditioner.
• Save money and use a fan to cool a room instead of adjusting your A/C.
