Tyler Notify™ is a system connected to the Municipal Services Commission’s (MSC) Customer Service data base.  It is designed to allow local governments/utilities to send messages and interact with citizens via their telephone.   NEWS RELEASE: In August 2014, the Municipal Services Commission (MSC) of the City of New Castle voluntarily placed their wells out of service due to the detection of the unregulated compounds Perflurorooctane Sulfonate (PFOS) and Perfluorooctanoic Acid (PFOA) in the City water supply. PFOS and PFOA are part of a group of chemicals known as per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). The MSC purchased water from Artesian Water Company until a temporary water treatment system could be put in place to remove the contaminates from the City’s water. UPDATE: Due to rising energy load, we are asking customers to voluntarily extend their energy reduction efforts by one more hour (until 10AM). Every little bit helps save energy and money. Due to extreme cold temperatures and high energy demand, we are asking municipal customers to VOLUNTARILY reduce electric use Thursday, January 31st. Power Saver Hours are from 6am to 9am, with peak usage expected at 8am. Customers are encouraged to lower their electric use during these high demand hours. Fire Hydrant Flushing

Municipal Services Commission 2018 Fall Hydrant Flushing Program  The Municipal Services Commission Water Department will begin our Fall Fire Hydrant Flushing Program on Monday, November 26th.  Flushing will begin at 7:30am and end at 3:00pm Monday through Friday taking approximately 10 business days to complete.
