This means that MSC may not be able to obtain a meter reading remotely. MSC will contact customers affected by this issue and request either the customer provide the meter reading from a meter or schedule an appointment with an operator so they can obtain the readings. WATER and ELECTRIC RATES TO BE INCREASED EFFECTIVE 04/01/2022
Date Posted: Monday, March 14th, 2022Municipal Services Commission’s (MSC) rate design consultant, Utility Financial Solutions (UFS), recommended a 5% overall water revenue increase and a 1% overall electric revenue increase after reviewing the cost-of-service study. These rate increase will be effective with the April 2022 bills and results in an average residential customer experiencing an increase in their monthly bill of approximately $4.05. MSC is sensitive to customers experiencing additional financial burden, please reach out to the customer service department at 302-323-2330 to find out about agencies that provide assistance.

The outage is expected to last from 8:00am until 10:00am, but could last longer due to unforseen complications. In the event of heavy or steady rain, the outage may be rescheduled.
